PRODUCTS

SOC owns and operates

• A Petrochemicals complex for the production of 3 major Petrochemicals:
  • 2 Methanol Plants producing over 2000 metric tons/day.
  • 2 Ammonia Plants producing 2200 metric tons/day.
  • 2 Urea Plants producing 2750 metric tons/day.
• LNG Plant producing 120,000 Brl./day plus 2000 Brl./day LPG and 40000 Brl.lday Naphtha.

Methanol

production is about 2000 ton per day of highly pure methanol (Exceeds grade AA specifications) produced in two identical plants. all Methanol production is exported.

Ammonia

production is about 2200 ton/day, produced in two plants. About 1650 ton/day is used for urea production and the remaining quantity is accumulated and exported.

Urea

production of 2750 ton/day of coated Urea produced in two plants ( capacity of 1750 t/d and 1000 t/d).
Almost all urea production is exported as bulk urea or bagged in 50 Kg bags.

LNG

SOC produces Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and about 2000 barrels/day of LPG. the company produces also naphtha by recovering and treating liquid hydrocarbons which is collected from oil and gas fields. Naphtha Production is about 4000 barrels/day.

Refnary

In addition to the above plants, SOC operates a small refinary with a capacity of 8400 barrels/day crude oil. This refinary produces gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel, naphtha and fuel oil.
